UniCalc Hub — Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026 · Applies to: UniCalc Hub for Android
This is the hosted copy of the policy shown inside the app under Settings → Privacy policy. Both describe the same behaviour; if they ever disagree, treat the in-app screen as authoritative for the version you are running and report the difference to the contact address below.

The short version

UniCalc Hub has no accounts and no analytics of its own. What you type stays on your device. Calculator screens show ads supplied by Google AdMob: a banner while you use the calculator, and occasionally a full-screen ad when you leave one.

Information we collect

We collect nothing ourselves. There is no sign-up, and the app never asks for your name, email, phone number, contacts, location or photos.

Google AdMob does use your device advertising ID to select ads — see Advertising below.

Stored on your device

Currency preference

Your selected default currency is saved locally so it persists between launches. It is never uploaded.

Pinned calculators

Pins are held by the app while it is running and are not sent anywhere.

Calculator inputs

Amounts, rates and dates you enter are used only to show a result on screen, and are not stored once you leave. The Cash Counter is the exception: the note and coin counts you enter are saved on your device so a part-finished count is not lost. Nothing you type is ever transmitted.

Ad frequency

The app keeps a local count of how many calculators you have visited, so full-screen ads are shown only occasionally rather than every time. This count never leaves your device.

Network requests

Exchange rates

The Currency Converter fetches live rates from api.exchangerate-api.com. Only the base currency code is sent — never the amounts you enter. As with any web request, that provider can see your IP address.

Calculations stay on device

Every calculator and converter computes entirely on your device. Apart from exchange rates, the only network traffic the app makes is ad requests.

Advertising

Ads on calculator screens

Calculator screens show a banner supplied by Google AdMob, and occasionally a full-screen ad when you leave a calculator. Requesting an ad sends your device advertising ID, IP address and general device information to Google. The values you type are never included.

Your consent

Where consent is required, Google shows a consent form the first time you open the app. You can change that choice at any time from Settings, under Privacy options.

Limiting ad personalisation

Your device settings also let you reset or delete the advertising ID, which limits how ads are tailored to you.

Google's handling of this data is governed by its own policies:

What we do not do

Your choices

Remove stored preferences

Uninstalling the app deletes everything it saved on your device, including your currency preference. The Cash Counter's Clear all button discards a saved count at any time.

Reduce network requests

Avoiding the Currency Converter means the app never requests exchange rates. Calculator screens still request ads either way.

Children

Not directed at children

The app is a general-purpose calculator and does not knowingly collect information of its own from anyone, including children under 13. See Advertising for what Google AdMob collects to serve ads.
